Ingredients
-
2 lbs Chicken wings
-
2 tbsp Sunflower oil (or preferred cooking oil)
-
1 tbsp Baking powder (for extra crunch)
-
1 tbsp Garlic powder
-
1 tbsp Onion powder
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
1/4 cup Cannabutter (Get our easy guide here)
-
1 cup Barbecue sauce
-
1/2 cup Honey
-
1.5 tbsp Ketchup
-
3 tbsp Hot sauce (adjust for your preferred heat level)
-
1 tsp Garlic powder (for the sauce)
Step-by-Step Directions
-
Prep the Wings: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, toss the wings with the oil, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
-
First Bake: Arrange the wings skin-side up on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
-
Crisp Up: Turn the oven up to 420°F (215°C). Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and the skin is perfectly crispy.
-
Make the Glaze: While the wings bake, melt the cannabutter over low heat in a small saucepan. Stir in the barbecue sauce, honey, ketchup, hot sauce, and garlic powder. Keep warm over very low heat.
-
Toss & Serve: Once the wings are crispy, transfer them to a large bowl, pour the infused BBQ sauce over them, and toss until fully coated. Serve immediately with fresh celery sticks.
Recipe Notes
-
Storage & Reheating: To keep leftovers crispy, do not coat them in sauce before storing. Let them cool, then cover and refrigerate. To reheat, preheat your oven to 420°F, spread the wings on a tray, and bake for 5–8 minutes until the skin crisps up again. Re-toss in sauce before serving.
