This cannabis-infused honey—or "CannaHoney"—is a delicious, versatile addition to any kitchen. Whether you are drizzling it over fresh strawberries, using it to create a glazed cannabis-infused honey chicken, or taking a simple spoonful, this infusion is a fan favorite.

Pro-Tip: For the best results, look for high-quality, cloudy honey from a local beekeeper. That "cloudiness" is actually microscopic traces of beeswax, which acts as a fantastic binding agent for the cannabinoids.

  • Cook Time: 1 hour

  • Yield: 1 cup

  • Skill Level: Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Raw, cloudy honey

  • 1 oz (28g) Ground cannabis, decarboxylated

Kitchen Tools

  • Small saucepan

  • Rubber spatula or spoon

  • Fine-mesh strainer

  • Cheesecloth and rubber bands

  • Latex-free gloves (optional)

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Warm the Base: In your small saucepan, combine the honey and decarboxylated cannabis over medium-low heat.

  2. Infuse: Allow the mixture to maintain a gentle simmer for one hour. Stir occasionally to ensure even heat distribution and cannabinoid bonding.

  3. Prepare Filter: Secure a double-folded piece of cheesecloth over the top of a clean bowl or container using rubber bands.

  4. Strain: Carefully pour the CannaHoney through the cheesecloth filter.

  5. Extract: Once the honey has strained, remove the cheesecloth. Squeeze it firmly to extract every last drop of your infused honey.

    • Note: This can be a messy process! If you are preparing this for others, we recommend using latex-free rubber gloves to maintain a clean environment.

Cook’s Notes

  • Storage: Store your finished CannaHoney in an airtight glass container in a cool, dark place. It will remain at peak quality for 4–8 weeks.
